I have worked as a Counselor since I was 21 years old. I am presently 48. During those twenty some years of service, I have gained wisdom and talent serving all ages and types of difficulties. I have worked with couples over twenty years. I would love to discuss my work with you. My training involved three degrees in the field and a Professional Counseling License in Delaware. After completing my formal education, I was trained as an alternative healer in the use of body-work, character analysis and spirituality. I became an instructor of that method to alternative healers and students. In addition to my private practice, I work with underpriviledged children in foster care and in families. I also serve as an adjunct faculty member at a private college in Wilmington teaching psychology related classes.
You could say I am a “wounded healer” coming from a severely neglected and abusive home totally lacking love and support. As a part of my own development and training, I attended dream analysis, object relations analysis, and body centered character analysis and became adept at these methods and philosophies. Because of my own childhood, and the lack of familial support, I am well aware of how difficult it is to go to college, and to contribute to our world when our initial circumstances are debilitating. My life focus and all my financial resources have been contributed to enhance my own understanding of healing and the evolution of consciousness and its inherent integrity and compassion once developed beyond a certain point. The question is how to enhance this development and enable it to regain itself once trauma takes us off track. It is my deep belief that we all must participate in the process of healing ourselves, each other and our world. My interests continue to be in these areas, including a focus on intergenerational trauma especially related to slavery and its impact on current crime and violence in the United States. It is in our relationships which serve as our own personal mirror, where our most shadowy and unhealed aspects seem to emerge for resolution. So, it is in these relationships where we have the most potential for growth.
